Reconstructive Implants

Design and reconstruction of general bone defects with the aid of patient-specific implants.

It is a reconstruction of the general bone-loss defects in any part of the patient’s skeleton. Each defect is corrected with the aid of an individual reconstructive implant made of PEEK or titanium. This implant is fixed to the neighbouring bones by fixing splints and locking-head screws. Accuracy of the surgery is supported with plastic or titanium cutting and fixing guides. The entire reconstruction, including the implant and the fixing solution, is designed to exactly meet the needs of a particular patient based on 3D image data obtained by CT examination.

Reconstructive Implants Made of Titanium (GTI)

Reconstructive Implants Made of Titanium (GTI)

A bone defect is reconstructed with the aid of an individual implant made by 3D printing from the Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, which is certified, and has a high strength as well as outstanding biocompatibility. The technology and material employed make it possible for efficiently correcting of very large and geometrically complex defects. The implant is fixed to the neighbouring bones by designed fixing brackets, which are integrated with the implant, and locking-head screws. Titanium cutting and fixing guides are used to ensure exact surgery. Everything is designed and 3D-printed to exactly meet the needs of a particular patient based on 3D image data obtained by CT examination.

PEEK Reconstructive Implants (GPI)

PEEK Reconstructive Implants (GPI)

A general bone defect is reconstructed with the aid of an individual implant made by CNC machining of certified biocompatible PEEK-OPTIMATM polymer made by the Invibio Company; this polymer is one of the best currently available materials for implants production. The implant is fixed to the neighbouring bones by fixing titanium splints and locking-head screws. Plastic cutting and fixing guides are used to ensure exact surgery. Everything is designed, 3D-printed and CNCmachined to exactly meet the needs of a particular patient based on 3D image data obtained by CT examination.
